After completing his studies at university, Charly further enriched his knowledge of Japanese art & culture by working in the Asian Department of Koller Auctions in Zurich, at the Department of East Asian Art History, University of Zurich; as well through his dedication as a Japan tour guide and Sake connoisseur.
For more than 10 years Charly has been running his own company related to Japanese affairs.
However, when it comes to Sake his passion started more than 22 years ago on his first trip to Japan. Ever since, Charly followed his love and learned as much as he could about this beverage, amassing a broad sake knowledge.
Since then Charly has become a Master Sake Sommelier who’s not only involved in the Sake retail business but also provides a range of all different kinds of Sake related events.
After passing every qualification the Sake Sommelier Association offers; Charly decided to further his work with us and became our first Swiss SSA Educator – bringing our fantastic classes to Switzerland’s luxurious venues.
