Matthieu first discovered sake in the early 2000s and he’s explored this world ever since. After many exploratory trips to Japan (as a post-doctoral fellow, tour guide, photographer, sake student simply on holiday!), he decided to formalise his knowledge about the beverage with an SSA Certified Sake Sommelier certification and SEC Certified Sake Professional diploma. In 2020 Matthieu took the step to become a Sake Educator with the SSA and teach courses to French-speaking students in Switzerland.
