Prakash Gurung is a Food & Beverage professional with over 11 years of experience with number of international luxury hotel brands: Four Seasons, Rosewood, Kempinski, Marriott, Hyatt & Royalton.

Through his career in the alcohol industry, he has earned his Certified Sake Sommelier and Sake Educator Certification with the Sake Sommelier Association; the Wine and Spirits Education Trust Advanced Certification in wine; and a Diploma in Restaurant Management from the University of Cape Town. He is also a certified by Appleton Rum Estate, Jamaica; and Habanos Academia, Cuba.

Presently, he is associated with Hyatt Place, Kathmandu as an Assistant General Manager.

Himalayan Wine Academy is Nepal’s first wine & sake educational academy. It was established to help all professionals and alcohol lovers increase their knowledge and discover the pleasures of wine and sake. HWA’s practical classes help to better their student’s wine and sake service styles with popular and standard service methods.
