Sake Educator: Pete Pedrick

Pete’s interest in Sake goes back a number of years to his friendship with Francois Lavergne, the first Sake Ambassador in Europe. Pete and Francois became friends and indeed business colleagues through their shared passion for champagne, so it wasn’t long before Francois introduced Pete to Xavier and Kumiko, and very soon after attended the Certified Sake Sommelier course. Pete travelled to Japan and joined the Advanced Sake Sommelier course where he experienced the true culture that surrounds sake and, at the same time, joined the SSA team as an educator – with a focus on the production methods of sake. Pete shares his passion for Japanese culture, its food & wine, and enjoys sharing his knowledge and tales of his trips to Japan as well as his knowledge on how its made.
