Sake Educator: Shane Jones

Shane found his way to sake in a serious way in 2016 when was introduced to Sake Sommelier Association founders, Xavier Chapelou & Kumiko Ohta, by a mutual friend. Within the next year he travelled to Japan for the first time, completed the Advanced Sake Sommelier Course and became a Certified Sake Educator.

Based in London, he is a regular Educator for the Certified Sake Sommelier courses and helps to facilitate the delivery of the Master Sake Sommelier qualification.
A keen taster, Shane routinely judges at the London Sake Challenge and acted as the competition’s Head Judge in 2019.
